As the space flows out from the kitchen and is readily seen from numerous positions within the property, an attractive design that fitted the vernacular of the building was required.
The pool was infilled with arisings from the surrounding works and a block and beam construction placed above it prior to the laying of reclaimed Yorkstone. The existing free-standing wall was retained and ‘anchored’ to the scheme by the addition of new walls created with reclaimed Cotswold stone to ensure they blended in.
The planting scheme, when fully established, will bring softness and structure to the area.
